Legal Disclaimer
Dot Sexual legal explainers give general information about named countries and jurisdictions, not legal advice. Use primary sources and a qualified lawyer for decisions.
Some Dot Sexual pages explain laws, court decisions, consumer rights and platform or delivery rules—especially where sexual-health products, privacy, hotels, testing or online buying in the countries covered are concerned.
Dot Sexual provides general legal information, not legal advice. We are not your lawyer, and reading or using this site does not create a lawyer–client relationship.
Why the facts of a case matter
Legal outcomes can turn on the exact product, wording, place, date, age of the people involved, local rules, contract terms, evidence and the authority dealing with the matter. A short explainer cannot assess those facts or predict what a police officer, customs officer, hotel, marketplace, employer or court will do.
Use primary sources for decisions
- Where we summarise a statute, rule or judgment, the summary is simplified. The linked primary text controls.
- Laws, notifications, enforcement practices and company policies change. Check the evidence-checked date on the article.
- A guide labelled with one country or jurisdiction should not be assumed to describe another. Always check the place named in the title, introduction and source list.
- A product being sold online, carried by a platform or delivered once does not prove that every sale, import, advertisement or use is lawful.
When to consult a lawyer
Consult a qualified lawyer in the relevant jurisdiction before acting where money, liberty, employment, immigration, a police complaint, a customs seizure, a court deadline, a business decision or personal safety is at stake. Do not miss a legal deadline because of a website article.
If you are in immediate danger, call your local emergency number or go to the nearest emergency department. A local domestic-violence, sexual-assault or victim-support service may also help connect you with medical and legal support; see Talk to a real clinician.
No instructions to evade the law
Dot Sexual may explain what published law and court decisions say, how ordinary consumer processes work and what questions to ask a professional. We do not provide instructions intended to evade law enforcement, customs, age restrictions, platform safety rules or another person’s rights.
External links and commercial information
Court, government, brand and marketplace links are provided so readers can inspect the source. Dot Sexual does not control external websites and is not responsible for their current terms, prices, packaging, delivery conduct or legal compliance.
Corrections
Legal explainers are included in our corrections policy. A newer statute, notification or binding judgment should be flagged with a link to the primary source.
